LCA is the production support ministry sponsored
by Mountaintop Faith Ministries. People who serve in the Production
Ministry typically serve during Wednesday and Sunday services. Occasionally
they serve during meeting, special church functions and funerals. Training
in all areas of production is offered on Thursdays and Saturdays,
by appointment with the Production Director. The goal
of the Production Ministry is to provide production support to
our ever-growing ministry in the areas of: Video Production, Video
Editing, Graphic Design, Front of House Audio Engineering, Recording
Studio Engineering, Logistical and Stage Support.
Production Ministry Volunteer Positions:
Technical Director – Direct technical
aspects of service, checking and switching between video sources,
and taking responsibility for the product. Tests equipment
in order to ensure proper operation. Observes pictures
through monitors, and directs camera and video staff. Acts as
a liaison between the engineering and production departments. Switches
between video sources in the studio such as switchers, video
slide projectors, and video effects generators. Sets up
and executes video transitions and special effects such as fades,
dissolves, cuts, keys, and supers, using computers to manipulate
pictures as necessary. Follows instructions from Production
Director during service or events, such as commands for camera
cuts, effects, graphics, and takes.

Camera Operator - The
television camera operator works with digital, electronic and
film cameras in multi- and single-camera operational conditions,
producing pictures for the service or church event by combining
the use of complex technology with creative visual skills. The
camera operator works under the direction of a Technical Director
or the Production Director.

Song Show Operator – Requires strong computer skills, responsible for providing most of the projected images, scriptures, song lyrics, announcements, and videos for the service. Should have or be willing to learn about working through multi-platform software.

Recording Studio Audio Engineer – Manages the operational activities in a recording studio, ensuring that quality recordings are made. Oversees all recording and is responsible for the quality control of all recordings. Provides hands-on training in equipment operation and studio techniques.

Front of House Audio Engineer – FOH sound engineers manage sound – from music to speech to special effects. Also
known as audio or sound technicians or mastering engineers, they
operate sound systems to ensure optimum sound in concert and
in the studio.

Graphic Designer – Creates
designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout
principles and esthetic design concepts. Determines size
and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and select
style and size of type. Use computer software to generate new
images. Reviews final layouts and suggests improvements
as needed. Confers with Director of Production to discuss and
determine layout design. Develops graphics and layouts for illustrations,
logos, and website. Produces still and animated graphics for
on-air and taped portions of television news broadcasts, using
electronic video equipment.

Video Editor – Edits
digital video tape and sound: Evaluates and selects scenes in
terms of the ecclesiastic, dramatic and entertainment value and
story continuity. Trims film segments to specified lengths and
reassembles segments in sequence that presents story with maximum
effect, or edits video, using editing software. Reviews assembled
film or edited videotape on screen or monitor and make corrections.
Logistics/ Stage Crew – This position works with most of the production areas. Includes
setting up pulpit for church-related functions including: church
services, meetings, communion, concerts and dance events.
